Who we are
The Jumps League is a UK-based horse-racing information website providing independent league tables, rankings, results and related jumps-racing content.
The Jumps League is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about anything in this notice at hello@thejumpsleagues.co.uk.
Information we collect
Account information. If you create an account we hold your email address and the authentication records needed to operate it (sign-in, email confirmation and password-reset activity). Sign-in and passwords are handled by our authentication provider; we never see or store your password.
Email preferences. If you choose to receive Jumps League updates we store your email address, an optional name, where you signed up from, whether you are currently subscribed and the dates you subscribed or unsubscribed.
Information you send us. If you email us — for example to report a results or points error — we hold your message and your email address, plus anything you change in your account settings.
Technical information. Our hosting, database and authentication providers process basic technical and security information such as IP address, browser and device information and authentication logs, so the site works and accounts stay secure.
Usage analytics. None. No analytics or advertising tracking software is installed on this website.
Why we use your information
- to create and operate accounts, and to authenticate users;
- to keep the website and accounts secure and prevent misuse;
- to remember your preferences and provide features you have asked for;
- to send essential account and service emails, such as confirmations and resets;
- to send optional Jumps League updates where you have opted in;
- to answer enquiries and correct reported results or points errors;
- to diagnose technical problems and maintain and improve the service.
Our lawful bases
- Contract — where processing is necessary to provide an account or service you have asked for.
- Consent — optional email updates. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — reasonable website security, abuse prevention, administration and keeping the service running.
- Legal obligation — where we must process information to comply with law.
Email updates
You can choose to receive updates covering league standings, Premiership and Novice Division updates, latest results, movers and leaders, new racing content and other Jumps League news.
These emails are entirely optional and are never a condition of holding an account. Every update email contains a one-click unsubscribe link that works without signing in, and you can also switch updates off in your account settings or by emailing hello@thejumpsleagues.co.uk. Unsubscribing does not delete your account.
Who we share information with
- Lovable — website hosting and delivery.
- Lovable Cloud (Supabase) — database, user accounts and authentication, including the storage of email-subscriber records.
- Resend — delivery of Jumps League update emails.
- Google Fonts — web fonts are loaded from Google's servers when a page loads, so your browser sends Google your IP address and browser information.
No analytics provider, advertising network, social-media pixel or data broker is used. We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
International processing
Some of our service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we use providers and safeguards permitted under UK data-protection law, including applicable adequacy arrangements or contractual safeguards where required.
How long we keep information
- We keep account information while your account remains active and for only as long afterwards as reasonably necessary to complete deletion, maintain security and comply with legal obligations.
- Newsletter preferences and unsubscribe records may be retained for as long as necessary to respect your communication choices and demonstrate compliance.
- Technical and security records are retained only for the period reasonably required for security, troubleshooting and the normal operation of our service providers.
- Contact enquiries are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the enquiry and any related follow-up.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself at any time from your account settings using the Delete account option, which asks you to confirm before anything is removed. This permanently deletes your sign-in account and your mailing-list record; only limited information may be kept where there is a security or legal reason to do so.
If you cannot complete deletion in your account, email hello@thejumpsleagues.co.uk from the address linked to your account and we will do it for you.
Your rights
Under UK data-protection law you may have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- correct inaccurate information;
- request deletion;
- restrict processing;
- object to certain processing;
- receive certain information in a portable format; and
- withdraw consent.
You can download a copy of your data and delete your account yourself at any time from your account page. To exercise any other right, email hello@thejumpsleagues.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how we handle your personal information.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. However, no internet service can guarantee complete security.

This Privacy Notice may occasionally be updated. Where it changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be amended.
