Terms of Use

The Jumps League is an independent horse-racing information website. We organise National Hunt (jumps) racing results into league tables, Premiership standings and specialist novice Divisions. The site currently publishes The Jumps Premiership (including trainer, jockey and owner standings) and The Novice Divisions, which rank horses, owners and trainers across novice hurdle, mares' novices', novice chase and juvenile hurdle categories.

By using the website you agree to these Terms.

Terms such as Premiership, Division, League, standings and points refer to competitions and rankings created by The Jumps League unless we clearly state otherwise.

Rankings are calculated according to the scoring rules published on the website. Points may differ according to matters such as race grade, race classification, finishing position, race value, handicap status, eligibility rules and qualifying dates.

The current rules shown on the Points scoring page form the methodology used to calculate The Jumps League standings.

Scoring structures, qualifying races, categories and eligibility rules may occasionally be amended. Material changes will be communicated clearly on the website. Where practical, changes will not retrospectively alter completed results, unless we are correcting an error, correcting incorrect racing data, or we have clearly stated otherwise.

Reasonable care is taken when compiling and calculating league tables. However, racing data can contain errors, results can subsequently be amended, disqualifications occur, stewards' decisions can change finishing orders, race classifications may be corrected, and human or technical errors can happen.

We may correct rankings where inaccurate information is identified. If you think something is wrong, please tell us at hello@thejumpsleagues.co.uk or via our contact page.

Where there is a discrepancy between information displayed by The Jumps League and the official racing authority or result provider, the official result should be regarded as authoritative. League points may then be recalculated where appropriate.

Our league tables are informational ranking features. They are not competitions that users personally enter to win prizes, and no prize is offered unless we expressly say so. If prize competitions are introduced in future, they will have their own separate competition rules.

We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and up to date, but racing schedules change, races are abandoned, declarations change, results may be amended, connections such as trainers, owners and horses can change, classifications can change, data can fail to arrive, and errors can occur. We do not guarantee that information on the website is always complete, current or error-free.

Racing information published on The Jumps League is entered and maintained by our own editorial team from publicly available race results and racing information, including results published by racing organisations, racecourses and racing publications. No third-party racing data API or licensed data feed is currently integrated into the website. Where attribution or licensing is required for a source, it is preserved.

Horse names, trainer names, jockey names, owner names, race names and racecourse names referred to on this website may relate to third parties. Use of these names for factual identification does not imply endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation.

Third-party logos, photographs, trademarks, racecourse branding, racing silks and copyrighted data remain the property of their respective owners. We do not claim any rights in them.

Where applicable, The Jumps League branding, original logos, original site design, original editorial copy and graphics, our scoring methodology, and our original presentation, organisation and compilation of league tables belong to or are licensed to The Jumps League.

You may view and use the information for your own personal, non-commercial use. You should not reproduce, republish or commercially exploit substantial parts of the site's original content or database without our permission. We make no claim over underlying race results which are public facts or which belong to another organisation.

You must not:

• systematically scrape or harvest the website;
• copy the league database in whole or in substantial part;
• make automated requests that place an unreasonable load on the service;
• circumvent access controls or sign-in requirements; or
• republish our content commercially without permission.

Ordinary personal browsing and ordinary search-engine indexing are welcome and not restricted by this section.

The website offers free user accounts. If you create one, you should provide accurate information, keep access to your email address and account secure, not misuse your account, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or remove accounts in cases of abuse, malicious behaviour, attempted unauthorised access or significant breach of these Terms.

You must not attempt unauthorised access, disrupt or overload the website, introduce viruses or malware, impersonate others, use the site for unlawful purposes, or misuse or systematically reproduce protected content.

The website may link to racecourses, racing publications, racing authorities, social media and other websites. We are not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of third-party websites.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be updated, modified, suspended, redesigned or temporarily unavailable, and features may be added or removed.

The Jumps League is not responsible for betting losses or other decisions made on the basis of its rankings, statistics or information, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

These Terms may change from time to time. The "Last updated" date will be amended following material changes.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
